What about boys?

Why your girl needs a "trusted adult"

 Transcript

What we recommend is that every parent needs to find a trusted adult, and they need to set it up ahead of time with this trusted adult and say, If my child ever comes and talks to you and asks you to keep it confidential and don't tell me, please don't tell me. And so you need to come back to your child and say, there's a trusted person. If you need something secret, you tell them. Because one of the reasons kids who get in trouble don't seek help is because they're worried that they're going to get in trouble by their parents. So you need that role model and you need your child to know that that's a safe person. And if you really don't want me to know, I won't know.
